The Wreck "Pati"
The Wreck of the Georgian Ship “Pati”
On January 1st, 2001, during a severe storm, the Georgian ship “Pati” lost control and crashed into the rocks near Kemer. The bow of the 15-meter vessel sank immediately, while the stern became lodged on a nearby rock, where it still remains today.
At the time of the incident, the ship was carrying immigrants from Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Today, the wreck lies at a depth of 5 to 12 meters, making it an intriguing site for exploration. However, only certified divers are permitted to dive at this location due to safety considerations.
