Three Islands (Üç Adalar) - A Premier Diving Paradise in Tekirova
Located just off the coast of Tekirova in Kemer, Three Islands - or Üç Adalar in Turkish - is one of the region’s most exceptional and internationally recognized diving centers. This unspoiled marine haven attracts divers from around the world, eager to explore its rich underwater treasures.
The area consists of four small islands: Martı, Mağara, Piknik, and Küçük Ada, each offering unique underwater experiences. What makes these islands truly special is their pristine natural beauty combined with conditions that meet global diving standards.
Among the highlights is the Münfesih SG 120, a former Turkish Navy vessel that was intentionally sunk to create an artificial reef. It now serves as a thriving habitat for marine life and a stunning dive site in itself.
Divers will find a wealth of biodiversity here, including schools of fish, large stingrays, and vibrant underwater canyons. The site is also ideal for cave diving, with subterranean caves waiting to be explored. In late summer, particularly in August and September, it’s not uncommon to encounter large shoals of tuna. With luck, you may even spot the elusive and endangered Mediterranean monk seals, which are under strict protection.
The area’s stunning underwater landscapes also make it a favorite for night dives and underwater photography, including larger photo and video productions. And if that’s not enough—keep your eyes open on your 30-minute boat ride to the site; dolphins are known to make a friendly appearance along the way.
